Lee Rozen

Lee Rozen, managing editor of the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, will speak to JAMM 327 on Monday, Feb. 13.

Rozen was assistant managing editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer from 2005 until the paper folded its print edition and converted to on-line only publication in March 2009.  He moved to Moscow in June of 2010.

Rozen started at the P-I in 1996 as manager of new media before moving to general manager of the the paper’s website in 1999. Previously, he worked as a reporter and editor at The Columbian in Vancouver, Wash.  He holds a bachelor of arts from the School of Communications at the University of Washington.

“I grew up in a small community and would really enjoy that connection with the people and the place … that you don’t get with metro journalism,” Rozen told the Daily News in 2010.  He will speak about a public-service journalism initiative sponsored by the Associated Press Media Editors.
